Yesterday I went for an afternoon hike along the Blue Hen Falls Trail in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I haven’t been to this area of the park in almost two months and I was surprised to see how many trees along the riverbanks of Spring Creek had fallen as a result of the flooding we had in early August.

This tree was still hanging onto the edge of the riverbank even though several of the large trees around it toppled over.
