C.R.A.Z.Y.

C.R.A.Z.Y. follows the life of Zac Beaulieu from his birth to adulthood. Zac is the only gay son in a household with four straight brothers.

Zac was always different from the time he was born. He wasn’t the athlete, the ladies man or the bookworm. He was the black sheep of the family and with the exception of his mother, that’s how they treated him.

One day Zac finally had enough of his family and set out on a voyage to become a man. Upon his return he faced the truth about who he was and in turn his family came to accept him.

C.R.A.Z.Y. isn’t your typical coming of age movie. It’s more of a movie about a complex and diverse family and their struggles to understand one another.

In case you’re wondering why the movie’s name is spelled out as an acronym, it’s for the five brothers names - Christian, Raymond, Antoine, Zachary and Yvan.

The film takes place in Montreal and is in French with English subtitles.

Rating: ★★★½☆
