Today was office holiday party number two (I belong to two different departments). We went out to Dave & Buster’s in Westlake and had a great time. Overall I would say this one was much more fun than the last one.

Just like last time we did a gift exchange with stealing. This department seems to be the poster child for fertility, since most of the people have young kids, so I decided to get a more family themed gift this time - a Gingerbread House Kit. It has everything you need to assemble the perfect house - something I always enjoyed doing when I was a kid. Of course as luck would have it, the person who got the gift has two high school aged kids, so it’s probably not what they were hoping for! Oh well.

I had much better luck this time. I stole a $15 Best Buy gift card from one of my co-workers and under the rules of our gift exchange it wasn’t allowed to be stolen again, so I got to keep it… kinda. When I got home I opened up the gift card holder only to find it empty with the message “u snooze u lose” written on the inside. I made a few calls and using my excellent detective skills was able to determine the culprit (who swears they are going to give it back to me tomorrow). Either way, there will be revenge.

This brings a conclusion to this year’s office holiday festivities. I’m going to be taking Friday and next Tuesday off of work as well as some time after New Years.
